Who’d have thought that the Whoopie Cushion was considered too vulgar to be sold by the top practical joke salesman when it was invented in 1930?
Since then it has gone on to achieve unprecedented success in the practical joke world. It’s just so simple and yet so effective. The Whoopie Cushion is made of two pieces of rubber glued together at the edges with one long narrow opening for air to get in and out of.
To use it, although I’m sure most of you know how already, you must first inflate it as you would a balloon by blowing into the opening. To use your practical prank, place the Whoopie cushion on someone’s chair and find a way of distracting them so that they do not notice it before they sit down upon it. When they do, they’ll force the air out of the cushion, causing it to vibrate and make the wonderful sound of flatulence!
